If ladder only items were available in non-ladder, I would see no reason to start ladder, since I do not race. I enjoy also knowing that certain items are going to be made available to me exclusively, as a reward for restarting from scratch. I personally do not participate in the race to 99, but do it more for the fresh start. If a person is willing to reset and start all over from scratch each ladder reset, there should be some incentive to that. They will be… When the first ladder resets.
